The APT Repository, at https://apt.releases.hashicorp.com, will undergo scheduled maintenance on Monday, January 23rd beginning at 16:00 UTC (8:00AM PST). We expect this maintenance to complete within 2 hours.

During this time, the service will be intermittent as we will be re-uploading new metadata signed with a new signing key. To verify new packages, users will need to pull the new key from https://apt.releases.hashicorp.com/gpg. We’ll post updates as necessary throughout the maintenance period.

We will be revoking the old signing key in approximately 90 days, on 4/24/23, at 16:00 UTC (8:00AM PST). After the key is revoked, users are expected to encounter errors using packages that were downloaded before January 19th. To avoid disruption, users will need to download the new GPG key from https://apt.releases.hashicorp.com/gpg to an existing or new keyring, verify the key’s fingerprint, add the HashiCorp repo, and run the update command. We will post a separate maintenance notice outlining these steps that users will be required to take to avoid disruptions prior to 4/24/23.
